Tap Your Way To Freedom!
“EFT offers great healing benefits”
—Deepak Chopra, MD

Sandy K. was terrified of heights. In just two sessions of EFT her fear was gone! She could climb up and down ladders like a pro. Andy R. suffered with chronic back pain. EFT helped him where medications failed. Sarah M. reacted adversely every time she was around her ex-husband—to where she would be angry and resentful. After only a few EFT sessions her encounters with him no longer held a charge. Does it sound too good to be true? Like any therapy it is not 100% for everyone but it usually works well and results can be spectacular! I have been using EFT along with other modalities in my own practice and have been impressed by the results—as have my clients.

What exactly is EFT—Emotional Freedom Technique?

EFT is an “acupuncture without needles” technique for overcoming life-long fears, grief, guilt, trauma, anxiety, addictions, depression, anger as well as useful for improving issues such as lack of self esteem, feeling unworthy, and also can help sports performance, overcoming procrastination. The theory is that these emotions cause blockage in the energy pathways of the body (meridians) and hence, create illness—whether emotional, spiritual or physical. Acupuncture is over 3000 years old and is now accepted in many medical circles. EFT is a simple tapping technique on these meridians that can reduce and resolve conflict whether new or old.

Igor S. suffered from post traumatic stress disorder from a prolonged war situation. Nothing helped him until multiple sessions with EFT. All his anxiety, depression, and terror that were tied in with his trauma disappeared completely. “Conventional psychology has been looking in the wrong place for clues to the PTSD puzzle,” says Gary Craig, developer of EFT. We have found repeatedly that the nightmares, sweats and intrusive memories of our war veterans occur because their war memories disrupt the proper flow of their bodies’ subtle energies.” It is a technique which in thousands of cases has dramatically reduced or completely eliminated the sting of trauma without conventional talk therapy which can reinforce the trauma or psychiatric drugs that can numb and cause side effects (Rev. Spyder Webb, Gentle Healing Touch). It is vital to understand that emotions, mind, body and energy systems are intimately interconnected. The issues may be forty years old, yet the emotions can be as strong as the day the trauma occurred. EFT can diffuse the issues to where there is no longer any charge and as a result, energy can again flow freely in the body and healing can take place.

EFT is available to everyone as a self-healing tool. However in the beginning it is wise to have access to a practitioner who is familiar with the therapy and who can use complementary techniques to identify the specific issues that need healing. Levels of emotions can be likened to a tree—superficial emotions being the leaves, slightly deeper ones the branches but the chief emotion being the trunk. Once the key emotion (s) are addressed, often the conflict can be resolved. EFT can even work by getting you to follow a healthy diet and exercise program! Hopefully it will lead you right into the gym. Salud!
