Activity Lakeside

     * Twenty-four years ago, Lonny Riddle opened his dojo-cum-ashram for martial arts on the side of a mountain outside of Chapala. For this tenth-degree black belt, his life work is a dream now come to fruition. Last month “Shihan” Riddle promoted the school’s very first black belt, Juan Jose Cerda. The test for this student lasted days, and encompassed demonstration of Ju-Jitsu, Kung Fu, weapons, vocabulary and philosophy, this last being the most important aspect of the “way of the warrior.”
From all the hundreds of students Riddle has carefully nurtured, a bow of thanks and recognition for his tenacity, consistency, intelligence and love.

     * This January 21, 2004, from 1-4pm, on the grounds of the Lake Chapala Society, Tod Jonson, Ann Whiting and LCS will host a reception and luncheon for the U. S.
